Introduction
The Henley Clinic non-surgical “Liquid Face-Lift” combines an advanced injection technique of botulinum toxin (Botox) (see also full fact sheet on botulinum toxin) across the upper and/or lower areas of the face depending upon the outcome you wish to achieve.
This technique with Botox (prices listedv below) can also be combined with dermal fillers again depending upon your goals for the treatment.
Procedure
The procedure will begin with full consultation with one of our medical practitioners to review your goals of what you would like to achieve. They will also advise you on what they would recommend on areas such a facial symmetry, the look best for you and what could be achieved through this procedure. We may also suggest a full computerised skin analysis on you to explain the outcomes further. The full procedure will be explained with all costs and you will have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have. This consultation aspect of treatment is completely free and without any obligation to proceed.
Treatment
The treatment itself is a series of very superficial injections across the areas you wish to affect and will take between 30 to 60 minutes depending upon the extent of the treatment. Local anaesthetics and/or creams can be used if the patient prefers but the technique is relatively painless, although some areas of the face can be somewhat more sensitive than others.
There is no particular aftercare treatment required just keep your face well moisturised as should be done anyway. The effect of the Botox treated areas will take between 5-7 days to take effect, where if dermal fillers are also included these are more immediate in their effect, so some patience over the first 1-2 weeks is required to attain and see the full effect of the treatment.
Results
The results are amazing and will create a lifting and tightening of the skin across the face, diminishing lines and wrinkles, more facial symmetry and giving a more youthful plumper looking skin.
The effect of the Botox may last from around 3 to 5 months, whereas the filler will have a longer duration of around 6-9 months.
